Stumptown Bella Vista packaging designs

I was commissioned by Stumptown to translate the mural I painted at Escuela Proyecto La Esperanza to a packaging design for a special Bella Vista coffee bag and a cold brew can. The sales of this coffee and cold brew would help raise money for scholarships to Earth University in Costa Rica. EARTH University is a private, non-profit university that offers two programs of study: an undergraduate licenciatura degree in agricultural sciences and a master's degree in agribusiness innovation. There is an intense focus at Earth University on finding solutions to the many challenges farmers will face due to climate change.

This is a photo of Luis Pedro Zelaya, grower of Bella Vista coffee, encountering the cold brew design for the first time on a visit to LA. I found this photo through @sprudge on Instagram. I had the honor of meeting Luis Pedro and visiting his coffee farm in Guatemala to learn more about how the climate crisis is impacting coffee growers when we were filming Stumptown’s Flower of Flowers film. You can watch the film HERE.
